Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will I lose weight?
If you stick to the dietary recommendations, you will almost always lose weight as your body will undergo a cleansing process. 2) Do I have to weigh or calorie count? No, because you will be consuming more unprocessed foods, you will find there is no need to count calories or weigh portions. 3) Do I have to give up my favourite foods? This will depend on your personal plan. Some of your favourite foods may be reduced or even excluded for a period of time. However, a lot of people find that when following a healthy plan they will no longer crave or want to eat unhealthy foods. 4) Will all my meals have to be home cooked? Having lots of fresh (raw where possible) fruits and vegetables should reduce the amount of time you spend cooking. However, some food will require simple cooking eg grilling fish and steaming vegetables. 5) What if I don't like vegetables, can I still follow the programme? Yes, although vegetables are an extremely important part of a healthy diet we can find ways for you to prepare/cook them so they are enjoyable. You have got to be comfortable with what you are eating. 6) Will I feel hungry? No. You will be eating wholesome unrefined foods; there are no limits on portions which mean you will not be hungry. 7) Is it expensive to follow a nutritional therapy programme? Contrary to belief that whole foods are more expensive, having fresh foods is cheaper in the long run than purchasing lots of takeaways and processed ready-made meals from the supermarket. The only extra cost to your shopping budget is if supplements are recommended and I will always endeavour to recommend various reputable suppliers so you can work within your budget. 8) What is the consultation process? You will be issued with a comprehensive questionnaire consisting of about 20 questions ranging from your family history to a typical days diet, eg Q1. Personal details - name, address etc Q2.
